App: BetTracker (the bet journal for sports bettors). Developer: BetTracker / Joey Fletcher.
You can permanently delete your BetTracker account and the data associated with it at any time. This page describes the two ways to do that, what gets deleted, what is retained, and for how long.
Method 1 — In-app self-serve deletion (recommended)
The fastest way is from inside the app itself:
- Open BetTracker on your phone and sign in.
- Tap the Profile tab (bottom-right).
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Settings.
- Tap Delete Account.
- On the Delete Account screen, read the warning about what will be removed.
- Type your account email address into the confirmation field exactly as it appears at the top of the screen.
- Tap Delete Account at the bottom.
- Confirm one more time in the system dialog by tapping Delete forever.
Your account is deactivated immediately and you are signed out. The data removal cycle described below begins right away. You will receive a confirmation email at the address on the account when the cycle completes.
Method 2 — Email request to support
If you have lost access to the app or your account, email us and we will process the deletion for you:
Email: bettracker.app.support@gmail.com
In your email please include:
- The email address on the account you want deleted
- The username on the account (if you remember it)
- A short note confirming that you are the account owner and want the account deleted
We will reply within 7 days and process the deletion within an additional 30 days. We may ask follow-up questions to verify you are the account owner before processing.
What gets deleted
When your deletion request is processed, the following are permanently removed or anonymized from BetTracker's servers:
- Your account credentials and email address
- Your username, display name, avatar image, profile bio
- All of your bets, bankroll entries, and bet-history records
- All public picks you shared
- All social posts, comments, reactions, and likes you made
- All direct messages you sent
- All game-thread messages, upvotes, and emoji reactions you posted
- Any avatar frames and achievements you unlocked
- Push-notification tokens registered to your account
- Linked sportsbook credentials (SharpSports, Kalshi OAuth tokens)
- Product-analytics events linked to your user id (these are also separately purged on a 90-day retention cycle)
After the 30-day window your account row and all data tied to your user id are erased from BetTracker's production database. Backups roll off according to our standard backup retention (rolling 30-day point-in-time recovery), so within 60 days of your request all traces are gone from both live and backup storage.
What is kept (and why)
A small set of records are retained for legal and anti-abuse reasons:
- Aggregate, anonymized analytics. Once your row-level events are deleted, the aggregate counts those events contributed to (daily active users, feature usage totals) remain in our metrics. These contain no information that identifies you.
- Payment / subscription records held by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat. We do not control records held by the App Store, Play Store, or RevenueCat. If you subscribed to BetTracker Pro, your purchase history is held by those services under their own retention policies. You will need to cancel any active subscription with the App Store or Play Store directly; account deletion in BetTracker does not cancel an active subscription.
- Moderation and safety records. If your account was reported, sanctioned, or appealed during its lifetime, those records are retained for up to 12 months to prevent re-creation of a banned account under a new email. Records are anonymized so they do not contain your name or contact info beyond the original report.
- Anything required by law. If we are legally required to retain a record (e.g., a subpoena), we will. We are not currently subject to any such order.
What happens to your subscription
Account deletion in BetTracker does not cancel an active App Store or Play Store subscription. To cancel:
- Android (Play Store): Open Play Store → tap your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → BetTracker → Cancel subscription.
- iOS (App Store): Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → BetTracker → Cancel subscription.
Cancel before you delete your account if you want to make sure the subscription does not renew.
Deleting specific data without deleting your account
If you want to remove particular content but keep your account, you can do that from inside the app for most data types:
- Bets: open the bet from your Log tab → tap the menu → Delete bet.
- Posts, comments, public picks: open the item → tap the menu → Delete.
- Direct messages: delete a thread from the Inbox swipe action.
- Profile avatar / bio: Profile → Edit → clear or replace the field.
For any data category not exposed via the in-app UI (e.g., your sportsbook connection metadata), email bettracker.app.support@gmail.com with a description of what you want removed and we will process the request within 30 days.
